What we collect

When you buy

Payments are handled by Creem, our merchant of record. Creem collects your name, email, billing country and payment details. We receive your name, email, country, and what you bought; we then create your serials. We never receive your card number.

When you activate a license

The plugin sends your serial, the product it is for, the name of your computer and an identifier of the device. We use them to count activations and to let you deactivate a computer. We store the key and the device identifier in a one-way hashed form.

When you download PILOT LIGHT

Leaving your email is optional. If you leave it, we store it with the date and where you signed up. We email you about updates and new plugins only if you ticked that box, and every email has a one-click unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

When you write to us

We keep the emails you send to support and our replies, so we can help you and follow up.

When you visit the site

The site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Our hosting provider processes technical data that every web request carries, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

Your audio

SCAN and every other feature analyze and process audio inside the plugin, on your computer. Your audio is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Why we use it

• To deliver what you bought and keep the license working (performance of a contract).
• To answer your questions and handle orders, payment problems and disputes (contract and legitimate interest).
• To prevent fraud and license abuse (legitimate interest).
• To keep the records that tax and accounting law require (legal obligation).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Creem, for payments, invoices and taxes.
• Our hosting and infrastructure providers, who process data on our behalf to run the site and the activation service.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country. When that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires.

How long we keep it

Purchase and license records: while the license exists, and afterwards for as long as tax law requires. Support emails: up to three years after the last message. Technical web logs: a few days.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to support@kelvinmoor.com from the email linked to your purchase. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its date.
