AURORA
Synth KM-20
Color, motion and space for synths.
AU · VST3 · macOS
What it does.
AURORA is an effects rack for synths. Four modules in a row: a six-band dynamic EQ, a two-band saturator, a delay and a reverb. Each module has its own on switch.
SCAN reads the part and proposes settings for all four: a low cut and a tone balance, the circuit and the drive, a delay locked to the tempo, and a reverb sized to the song.

Hear it.
The same recording without and with AURORA, set from SCAN and adjusted by ear. Switch while it plays; the position stays where it is.
The before-and-after examples are being recorded. They will appear here.
What's inside.
Six dynamic EQ bands
Bell, shelves, cuts, notch, band pass, tilt and Air. Any band can move dynamically against its own threshold, and Auto Gain keeps the level steady while you shape.
Two-band drive
Eight circuits: Tape, Tube, Triode Push, Transformer, Console, Diode Fuzz, Rectifier and Warm Clip. Split at a crossover of your choice, with Drive, Tone, Dynamics, Mix and Level per band.
Delay
Digital, Tape, Analog and Diffuse modes, synced to the session in straight, dotted and triplet values, with ping-pong, filters in the loop and feedback up to 110 %.
Space
A reverb that opens on the Ambient algorithm: Hall, Plate, Room, Chamber, Ambient or Shimmer, decay up to 30 s, with Freeze and ducking.
Delta listening
Hear only what the EQ and the drive are changing, to judge how much color you are adding.
On/off, Mix and presets
Switch each module on or off without clicks, blend the rack with Mix, compare A and B, and save your own presets.
SCAN for AURORA.
Play your synth part for about ten seconds. SCAN measures the take and proposes settings for EQ, Drive, Delay, Space. Each move comes with the reason, in one line.
Apply it with one click, then trust your ears. It is a starting point an engineer would be happy to begin from.
