TRUE NORTH
Tune KM-10
Every note lands where it should, and still sounds like you.
AU · VST3 · macOS
What it does.
TRUE NORTH corrects pitch while you record or mix. Set the key and scale, or let SCAN find them, then choose how fast notes land: slow and invisible, or instant for the hard, stepped sound. It follows one voice at a time, so use it on a lead or a backing part, not on a chord.
Humanize and Flex keep slides and long notes natural, and Natural Vibrato decides how much of the singer’s own vibrato survives. It re-times the waveform instead of stretching it, so the formants stay where they are, and consonants and breaths pass through untouched. Studio mode is for the mix, Live mode trims the latency for tracking.

What's inside.
Key and scale from SCAN
SCAN reads the key from the melody, or from the beat when you send it to the sidechain, and picks Major or Minor. When the key is unclear it stays chromatic, so no wrong notes are forced.
Retune Speed
From 0 ms, the hard stepped effect, to 400 ms, a correction you notice only when it is missing.
Humanize, Flex and Natural Vibrato
Humanize slows the correction on held notes. Flex corrects only when the pitch is already close to a note, so slides stay. Natural Vibrato sets how much of the singer’s vibrato is kept.
Formants stay put
Pitch-synchronous overlap-add moves each period of the waveform to its new place. The voice keeps its character, and unvoiced sounds pass through sample for sample.
14 scales and note overrides
From Chromatic to Blues, plus Scale, On or Off for each of the twelve notes. Transpose by up to an octave either way.
Voice type, Live and Studio
Soprano, Alto / Tenor or Low Male sets the range it searches. Live mode trims the fixed latency by about 12 %. A pitch display shows the note you sang, the note it is heading for and the corrected line.
